Is Social Media taking over your life????

We live in a generation where the internet has taken over our real lives.

All I see is people on their smartphones scrolling through posts, also posting what they’re doing daily. But the truth is, people have forgotten how to enjoy and live in the moment and it seems like all that matters is how they appear in other people’s screen so they can get all the attention.

Technology has created all kinds of social medias which is wonderful and has been changing the world in so many good ways, but at the same time it has dominated human beings. We have to be careful on how we use it or it will control our lives. Remember that you’re the one that’s in control of your own life. Do what makes you truly happy in real life. Don’t mind what people think of you through the phone screen. Because what you see on social media is not always real. But we get so caught up on it that we believe what we see on the screen and believe it’s a reality.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t use social media at all, but you should be careful so it doesn’t take away your life. We only can truly enjoy our life when we live in the moment without thinking to capture it in a photo and posting it. Life passes like a flash of lightning, and one day when you get old, you don’t want to just remember that most of the time you were posting pictures on social media so you could feel valuable with the numbers of how many “likes” you got.   or how many views you get.  A lot of social media attacks are in competion with others.  Don’t let your smartphone take away the wonderful moments of your life.

I believe that you can only feel real happiness from you.  Once you are happy with you, you are not in a competion!!!!

I just hope you can be that person that realizes that there is so much more to life than entertaining yourself with social media. Sometimes we could be missing out wonderful things that are happening in daily life because our eyes are caught on the screen too often.

So, don’t miss those priceless moments in life before it’s too late.

Loving Sunday Rain!!!

I’m a big fan of the weather we are having today.  I’m sure some people have found it a bit gloomy, but I absolutely love this weather.  Sometimes I think I should live in Seattle I love rain so much!

There’s very little that’s more romantic than getting caught in a quick rainstorm then cuddled up in bed!

A perfect example of a calming rainy day.  What better excuse to lay around in your shorts/tshirt all day reading or watching movies while listening to the rain fall..  It all just seems relaxing with the rain falling around my place.  Nothing will relax me faster than the sound of water and rain  –  the absolute best.  Who doesn’t love falling asleep to a good thunderstorm?

So that’s it!  That’s pretty much everything I love about rain.  How about you?  What do you love or even hate about rain??

Oh, and if you see me wandering the streets singing and dancing in the rain, don’t worry… I’m perfectly sane and extremely happy!!  Come join me!!  🙂

Home!!! See you Monday Niagara!!!

I awoke this morning to a fluffy white bed, a clear sunny sky, and one of the most beautiful views.  My home in Mississauga.

Walking out onto the deck, I watched the lake gently hit the rocks and found myself smiling as the fullness of the scene and the incredibly loving gesture all washed over me.

 Magical, I’d say!!!!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!!

Niagara see you Monday!!!

Happy November friends!!!

I love that I awoke in a different city the first of November!!!

Well here it is.  We knew it was coming.  We trick ourselves into thinking that maybe this year it won’t and we can skip right through to Christmas and then the spring, but we knew we were just fooling ourselves.

November is a strange month.  Smack dab in the middle of the Fall.  Not quite winter, but not the nicest of weather, at least here in Southern Ontario it isn’t.  The leaves are falling quickly off the trees and they are beginning to get more bare as the days pass.  The rain falls a little more frequently in November, or at least it feels like it does because it isn’t the warm rain of summer, it is the cold, bone chilling rain of an almost winter day.  We find out there are usually two types of people in November.  The people who say, “well, at least it isn’t snow” and the others who say, “I wish it was just a little colder so it would be snow instead.”  I have to admit to being one of those, I love my snow.

If we can get ourselves moving in the winter, the time moves a little quicker and the long, cold winter becomes something we actually look forward to.  So get your mitts, hats, and woolies out of the closet and get ready for some winter fun!

So let us welcome November, the not so popular month that it is, with open arms and see it as a new beginning.
